Most NZ kitchen renos fall into one of three scopes — refresh, mid-scope refit, full layout change. Naming them honestly is the first step toward quotes that compare like-for-like. Below, what each scope covers, what it costs in 2026 NZD, and which renovators handle it.

Refresh

New benches, doors, splashback, paint — boxes and layout stay.
