Who we are

NZ Kitchen Renovations is a trading name of Kauri Ridge Holdings Limited, NZBN 9429050000017. We are the agency responsible for the personal information collected through this website.

What we collect

• What you type into a form: your name, email, phone number, suburb and region, and details about your kitchen such as its size, layout, what you want done and your budget band.
• Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers never reach this website or our systems; we receive the payment status, the amount and the details you gave at checkout.
• Technical information sent by your browser: IP address, user agent, referring page, and the approximate location our hosting provider derives from your IP.
• Analytics: pages viewed and actions taken on the site, tied to a random session identifier rather than to your name.

Why we collect it

• To answer your enquiry and tell you honestly whether we can serve your area.
• To arrange and deliver a design consult, and to give the designer what they need before the visit.
• To take payment, issue receipts, and process refunds.
• To understand which pages help people and which do not.
• To meet our record-keeping obligations.

Providing the information is voluntary, but without it we cannot arrange a visit or take a booking.

Who else sees it

• The trades on your job, and only what they need to do it: the designer, the joinery workshop, the plumber and the electrician. Photographs of your kitchen go to the designer and are never published.
• Our service providers: Vercel (website hosting, United States), Notion (where enquiries are recorded, United States), Stripe (payments, United States and Ireland), Resend (email delivery, United States) and PostHog (analytics, United States).
• A partner joinery workshop, only where you have explicitly ticked the referral box on the consult form. It is off unless you turn it on, and we would receive a referral fee.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not pass your details to anyone for their own marketing.

Information stored overseas

The providers above store information outside New Zealand, principally in the United States and the European Union. Before disclosing information to an overseas provider we satisfy ourselves that it is subject to comparable safeguards, as the Privacy Act 2020 requires. If you would rather deal with us entirely by phone or post, that is fine: tell us and we will.

Cookies and analytics

We use PostHog to measure how the site is used. It sets a first-party identifier so repeat visits within a session are counted once. We do not run advertising trackers or remarketing pixels on this site. Your browser's do-not-track and cookie settings are respected as far as the tool allows.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become customers: two years, then deleted.
• Consult and build records: seven years, because tax and building records must be retained.
• Analytics: retained in aggregate, without your name attached.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email us at hello@nz-kitchen-renovations.co.nz and we will respond within 20 working days. You can also ask us to delete information we no longer need, and we will unless we are required to keep it.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your information, tell us first and we will investigate. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Payment card data never touches our servers. Access to enquiry records is limited to the people who need it to do the job. No system is perfect, and if a breach ever affected you we would tell you and the Privacy Commissioner as the Act requires.
